It’s common for you and your pet to experience the same health issues.

Especially when it comes to toxins in the home and aging.

I’ve seen this first hand in my pup Bryan as he’s getting older but also my previous Golden retriever, Bear.&nbsp

Bear was my office pup in Tacoma and for those that were lucky enough to have an acupuncture session with him in the room, he was all about the healing vibes.

Sadly, he died too young at age 12, right around the time we discovered mold in our home.

Since then I’ve been on a mission to help myself and Bryan live healthy as long as possible.

So when fellow animal lover and pet wellness advocate Angela Ardolino reached out to get to know me better after one of my posts with Bryan, I knew I had to share her wisdom with all of you.

She and I share a common mission, to promote wholistic wellness in the veterinary space.

Sure the amount of wholistic vets are increasing, but it’s no where near enough to meet the need to help pet lovers extend the lives and vitality of their fur babies, so I’m grateful to the folks like Angela that have done the research to have a piece of mind when looking for wholistic pet support.

The veterinary industry is no different than the conventional medicine space, overrun by big pharma and resistance to seeing the benefits of wholistic approaches to pet health.

When a “wholistic” vet clinic here in Wisconsin accused me of abusing Bryan because I fed him a whole foods diet to get rid of his chronic ear infections that medicine wasn’t helping, and he reduced his weight to a healthy weight (something they said they never see happen in Goldens so they thought it was odd), I knew there had to be a better way to approach his health!

Never mind the fact that the diet I chose was based on research from Standford University’s Vet program, provided to me by a wonderful wholistic vet in WA state and their approach wasn’t working in the first place!

I know I’m not alone as I hear similar stories from my clients about their pets being given medicine after medicine yielding no results and I’m asked weekly by my clients about various herbs, supplements and food for their pets.

While I’m not claiming to be a vet, I have spent many years researching what’s best for dogs and now even cats since I care for my Dad’s cat Sam too and I came to the conclusion…

…What if many of the same natural remedies that help you feel better could also transform your dog’s health?

That’s exactly what Angela Ardolino discovered too and it changed everything for her!

After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, Ang

ela refused to settle for a lifetime of prescriptions.

Instead, she dove into the world of cannabis, herbs, and functional mushrooms.

Through her self research she found the same herbs human use, lion’s mane, reishi, bacopa, ashwagandha, cordyceps and more help her pets thrive too.

Now, as a plant & mushroom medicine educator, formulator, and holistic pet wellness advocate, Angela teaches pet parents how to support their animals naturally through food, herbs, and the science of the endocannabinoid system.

In this episode of the Health Fix Podcast, we explore:

  • Why closest to nature food is the foundation of pet health too
  • How mushrooms and adaptogenic herbs support balance and resilience
  • The truth about cannabis for pets; what works, what doesn’t
  • Why intention and quality matter in herbal formulas
  • The latest herbal medicine research for senior dogs

If you’ve ever wondered how to help your pets live longer, feel better, and age gracefully (without relying on endless meds), this one’s for you.

I’ve been using her Clarity for cognitive support and Ease for pain relief products myself and sharing them with Bryan too!

I like knowing there are products we can both use without worry AND that they work!

Ease has tumeric, boswellia and CBD (no THC in it), it does help with my sciatic pain and Bryan’s nervous energy calms with it. (Perhaps he’s had brain inflammation all this time instead of being a total Golden spaz?)

I use Clarity when I’m feeling I need a brain boost for creativity, like when writing these emails…

If you’re wanting to learn more about wholistic health options for you and your dogs, Angela has her own podcast  – “Your Natural Dog”, (I’ll be on it in mid-November to tell my story with Bryan), and she is actively involved in research too, you can find more, such as her senior dogs study – HERE .

Keep in mind, there are some herbs, especially a few essential oils that pets do not tolerate and this is why it’s key to have someone who’s done the research support you. All of the herbs I’ve mentioned in this email are safe for pets, including CBD if it’s full spectrum not an isolate. Everything Angela has on her website has been researched to be safe for pets.

Like anything these days, be savvy and ask questions!
