Gallbladder, stomach, and digestive issues are incredibly common after 40.
But what if it’s not always parasites, SIBO, candida, or food sensitivities?
What if a restricted diaphragm is part of the problem?
“Wait… how could my diaphragm cause digestive issues?”
Your diaphragm is a powerful muscle that sits over the liver and spleen and stretches across the upper abdomen.
When it moves well, it helps circulate blood and lymph through your intestines, liver, spleen, gallbladder, and pancreas.
When it’s tight or restricted? Circulation decreases.
Now layer this in: hunched posture from computers, phones, and tablets.
Rolled shoulders. A collapsed chest. Shallow breathing.
That pattern compresses the abdomen and chest, reduces organ mobility, and signals stress to the brain.
Blood flow gets prioritized to the arms and legs instead of your vital organs.
Double trouble.
Over time, that same forward posture can also restrict the heart and lungs.
Could this contribute to elevated blood pressure, racing heart rates, or other cardiovascular concerns?
It’s a question worth asking.
This week on the podcast, my guest Deanna Hansen shares powerful insights on why daily circulation work matters more than most people realize.
I invite you to stand in front of a mirror and take a look at your posture.
Are your shoulders rolled forward?
Is your chest collapsed?
Are you breathing into your chest instead of your ribs and belly?
Could this be a missing piece for you?
Tomorrow I’ll share more about how Deanna is teaching me to use Block Therapy to improve my chest breathing and address the outward winding of my feet.
My husband is also experimenting with it to support his flat feet and long-term postural changes after being hit by a truck on his bike over a decade ago.
I’m excited to track our progress over the next month and I’ll bring Deanna back for an encore episode to share results.
If you’re not already following me on Instagram @drjanninekrause, I’ll be sharing videos of our progress there.
Here’s to boosting circulation and supporting your organs from the inside out,
