If you told me my husband and I would be fighting over a skin cream in our 40s, I’d have thought you were nuts.
Well, when my patient Kristine Courville sent me a variety of her Sahale Botanicals products to test out, we both found out our skin loved her Calendula + Neroli Cream.
Calendula’s skin repair and healing properties, combined with neroli’s luxurious scent, were apparently what both of our wind-whipped and sun-drenched aging skin needed.
I paired her cream with the Revive Facial Oil in the morning, plus microinjections of the peptide combo KLOW, and created a magical combination that’s helped rejuvenate my skin over the last year.
Having dabbled in all kinds of skincare lines, I’m blown away by how well her wildcrafted products have helped my skin.
Kristine started Sahale Botanicals during the pandemic when many products, especially herbal medicines for health and wellness, went on backorder due to supply chain issues.
What’s fascinating about Kristine is that she harvests everything she sells from local wild-grown sources or from what she’s growing in her own yard!
Plus, she’s using the old-school methods of herbal medicine that I was taught at Bastyr, not the highly processed manufacturing methods you get with mass-produced products.
One of the things she does differently compared to many herbalists and herbal product manufacturers is that she prepares everything using fresh, not dried, herbs.
That’s key because fresh herbs have a lot more vital energy within them to pass on to you!
I brought Kristine on the podcast this week because I absolutely love all her products, from the skincare line to her liquid elixirs and tinctures that speak to the needs of women in midlife.
Being sensitive to many products, especially those for the skin, she has the sensitive person in mind with every item she makes.
Her goal is to help teach others to do what she does, and we’ll be working together soon to offer some workshops this coming fall. Stay tuned!
In a day when big pharma controls much of the supplement and wellness industry, I’m gravitating toward connecting with companies that are owned by people I can meet, interview, and feel good about recommending their products.
Kristine Courville’s Sahale Botanicals is a perfect example of a company I’m all in on supporting!

Here’s to knowing where your medicine comes from,
