What if the reason you’re struggling with low energy, stubborn weight, or digestive issues isn’t willpower or discipline… but your Metabolic Type?

We each inherit unique strengths and weaknesses in three key systems:

  • Autonomic Nervous System – controls digestion, breathing & immune activity. In terms of determining your autonomic type you want to know if you’re sympathetic or parasympathetic dominant.  Sympathetic dominant types are feeling anxious often, stuck in fight or flight fast paced on the go mode while parasympathetic dominant are chronically fatigued or burnt out.
  • Oxidation Rate – your body’s “campfire” for producing energy. You want to know if you’re a slow or fast oxidizer. Testing your stool pH can help you identify this.
  • Endocrine System – shapes your body type, weight patterns & hormone balance. There are thyroid, adrenal, pituitary and gonadotropic types (ex: think ovarian type in females).

When you know which system dominates and which needs support you can use simple nutritional strategies to bring your body back into balance.

Take oxidation rate as an example:

  • fast oxidizer burns through carbs like paper on a campfire, quick and hot. They need slow-burning “logs” like protein and fat for steady energy. Sympathetic dominant folks are generally fast oxidizers.
  • slow oxidizer is the opposite logs (protein and fat) slow them down. They need more carbs to keep their fire burning consistently. This is why some people gain weight on high protein and keto diets versus lose weight. Typically parasympathetic dominant folks are slow oxidizers.
  • Mixed oxidizers fall somewhere in between.

If your fuel mixture is off, you’ll gain weight in the form of fat.
