Are you ever too old to wear a thong bikini?
I noticed thong bikinis and reduced-coverage bottoms are hot this season.
I’m no fashionista. I get my $10 suit tops and bottoms from a surf company called Jolyn every Black Friday. Solid colors with mix-and-match styles that stay put when you’re active in the water are my jam.
Truth is, I’ve never felt super comfortable in a bikini. Dang, nothing like wearing a swimsuit to bring up body confidence issues…
…but I like having my entire body tan. I may be strange.
Every year when I come to the Caribbean, I’m fascinated by all the bodies, shapes, and swimsuit choices people make.
I notice there’s a trend to move to one-piece suits over 40, but there are some women who absolutely rock a bikini well into their 80s.
On one of my morning beach walks, I saw a pretty fit couple walking ahead of me.
They both had beautiful white hair that stood out with their tans. He was rocking board shorts and she had on a bikini with a thong.
From behind, I would have thought they were in their late 60s.
As I got closer, I realized they had to be in their 80s.
I was in awe and had to smile.
With deep wrinkles on their faces and age spots covering their bodies, they told a story of a love of being outdoors.
They were glowing, and their confidence was infectious.
So much so that I now have a vision to add to what I want 80 to look like for me.
Okay, maybe not the thong… but then again, what if there was a trend that could be started?
“80 is the new 40: Lose your filter and your fear of what others think!”
Who’s in?
I digress…
With spring upon us, the “beach body” buzz will soon be in full effect.
This season, I invite you to rock what you’ve got. And if you’re not feeling confident but want to, there’s no time like the present to work on that confidence.
I’ve seen the unspoken trend toward more coverage with age, and I know the changes that happen at this time in life can be challenging for guys and gals.
Know that I see you, and I’ve been there.
A little micro-dosing peptide boost from KPV (anti-inflammatory and gut support), with perhaps Retatrutide (the GLP-3), may be just what you need to drop some of that inflammatory weight that happens over 40.
There’s no shame in wanting to look good in a swimsuit at any age.
What’s sad is missing out on the adventures a day on the water can bring.
If you’re planning a beach vacation or have plans this summer to get out on the lake, river, or chill by the pool, I have a protocol that can help.
It starts with the 21 Day Cleanse to prime the system and moves into using KPV, with micro-dosing the GLP peptides Retatrutide or Tirzepatide.
Here’s to rocking a thong if you want to,
