Hormones and peptides get all the attention but what if there’s something that can amplify their effect?

Low libido, erectile dysfunction (in both men and women), leg cramps, elevated blood pressure, dry skin and fatigue get labeled as “normal aging.”

But what if they’re actually signs of one thing… nitric oxide decline?

Your nitric oxide levels naturally drop every decade after 40, and nitric oxide’s main job is simple but huge: it dilates your blood vessels so oxygen and nutrients can flow.

Less dilation of vessels = less oxygen = more symptoms written off as aging.

If an organ, nerve, or tissue isn’t getting oxygen, it screams for help and usually through pain, tightness, cramps, or numbness.

Think about the pins-and-needles feeling when you sit on your leg too long.

That’s circulation being cut off.

Leg cramps? They happen with blood clots, but they’re also tied to low magnesium, low potassium and low nitric oxide.

Even common diagnoses like spinal stenosis often involve narrowing pathways that reduce blood flow…hello neuropathy and nighttime cramping.

And tight muscles or fascia? Often a sign circulation isn’t keeping up.

Maybe you’ve tried beet powder… or loaded up on arugula and celery… or bought “nitric oxide boosters” that didn’t move the needle.

You’re not alone…I’ve recommended the above and have seen some results but I’m always looking for something even better.

I just interviewed Dr. Nathan S Bryan, the guy who has dedicated his entire career to nitric oxide research, and he blew my mind because… a LOT of what we’ve been taught about nitric oxide is incomplete or flat-out wrong.

Including those saliva-based nitric oxide test strips many of us used years ago and yes, I recommended (cringe).

Turns out they’re not reliable at all (he actually created them and abandoned the patent on them so another company picked them up and marketed them, that’s nuts!)

One of the biggest surprises?

Beet powder isn’t the best nitric oxide booster.

The body struggles to convert nitrates directly into nitric oxide the way we think it does.

Dr. Bryan breaks it all down in this week’s podcast, and I promise you’ll walk away seeing nitric oxide completely differently. I sure did.

And no, nitric oxide isn’t a magic pill.

But if it naturally declines as we age… and if poor circulation underlies chronic illness… could nitric oxide replacement be the key that helps your hormones, peptides, and supplements work better?

I’m testing this right now in my own protocols.

Time will tell, but the early signs are compelling.

Tune in to my conversation with Dr. Nathan S Bryan, you’ll get clarity, insight, and a whole new perspective on aging and circulation.

Tomorrow, I’m diving into how emotions affect blood flow (yes, really!).

Here’s to open vessels and better vitality,
Dr. J
