Health and home renovations have more in common than you think.

Last week, a mentor of mine compared his bathroom renovation to business but I think health is no different.

Sometimes you have to take the room down to the studs or look at the foundation of the home to see what’s really going on underneath.

Other times?

A fresh coat of paint and a few new fixtures are enough.

Spring is around the corner. Many people are planning home refreshes and deep cleans.

But what if you gave your health the same attention?

Are you actually where you want to be right now?

When it comes to perimenopause and menopause, hormone imbalances often require taking the “room” down to the studs to by looking deeper at cortisol patterns, blood sugar stability, mineral balance, mitochondrial health.

In Chinese Medicine, we also evaluate the “plumbing” aka circulation and energy flow to the organs.

And just as important? The “wiring” aka how you’re thinking and the stories you tell about your health, stress patterns, and beliefs.

  • If you’ve tried a new “paint job” (diet)…
  • Swapped out the “fixtures” (supplements)…
  • Or upgraded the “towels” (workout plan)…
    And nothing is working…

It’s time to look deeper.

It’s rare that hormone replacement therapy works perfectly on the first try.

Sometimes that happens with supplements too.

But when we assess the foundation?

That’s when things click.

Recently I’ve seen several people try peptides for weight loss and not lose a pound. Their frustration skyrockets because they’ve seen others succeed.

Adding peptides and hormones without working on your foundation is like plastering over a crack and wondering why your floor is still uneven.

So why not start at the foundation?

That’s why I’ve decided I’m no longer allow clients to jump into peptides without addressing foundational needs first, starting with a gentle cleanse to reset the system.

Spring represents movement, circulation, rebirth.

As flowers emerge from dormancy, imagine what you could rebuild in your body this year.

Chinese Medicine traditionally recommends cleansing in spring and fall by supporting the liver, lymphatics, and digestion so the body can let go of what no longer serves it.

This isn’t a harsh, depleting “colon blow” cleanse.

It’s food-based, supportive, and designed to build you up not break you down.
