When you’re in your 20’s you’re much more resilient to life’s stress.

By the time you get to your late 30’s your lifestyle starts to wear on you.

And if those little symptoms haven’t had you taking action by the time you’re in your 40’s you body will scream at you for help.

The only question is, are you listening to your body?

Symptoms are signs something is out of balance.

Being open to making the changes necessary to slow down is a huge commitment and a life saving one!

Getting out of life’s fast lane isn’t easy.

It’s why most keep trying to stay in it.

Repeating the same game over and over with random bandaids here and there to keep yourself going.

Till eventually something breaks and you can’t patch it up.

This is when sh$% gets real.

Society has trained you to want a quick fix, like a pill.

Your health is a sum of your habits, behaviors, routines and beliefs.

Not taking time to take care of yourself is a huge problem.

The more type A and driven you are the harder this is to accept. 

I know it all too well as a type A gal. 

If it weren’t for a breakdown of my health I’d likely have driven myself further into the ground for the sake of achieving my dreams.

It needs maintenance as well as tune ups and ignoring this leads to accelerated aging.

What are you eating most days?

Are you skipping meals only to binge at night when you get home?

Did you poop today?

When’s the last time you worked out and got a good sweat on that felt amazing?

Are you sleeping solidly?

How’s your mood?

I could ask a million questions, point being…when’s the last time you checked in with yourself and asked the hard question…

Are you ok?

Life goes by fast.

Living with cortisol pumping through your body creates inflammation, tension and has the potential to lock your body in stress mode.

It’s what keeps weight on the body when you’re doing “all the things”.

You may be getting away with it for now and perhaps you may thrive off of the stress.

I encourage you to take a look at your lifestyle and see where you can slow down to enjoy life and savor the little things.
