Deanna Hansen blew my mind with her data on mastering your exhale to lose weight in our workshop last week.

How could something so simple be the crux of weight loss?

Seems too good to be true until you dive into the details.

Fascial tissue restrictions develop all around the rib cage when you’re not breathing deeply, aka shallow, stressed-out breathing.

They take years to develop, and by the time you notice changes, you’re in your mid to late 30s and venturing into perimenopause’s hormone rollercoaster.

I started noticing cellulite buildup on the sides of my rib cage in my late 30s, where my breasts ended and the area known as the flanks started.

Then, a few years later, it was hard to tell where my breasts ended and the fatty tissue started.

And a few years later, the fat was like an inner tube around my upper back.

The breast tissue extended into side fat, that fat went all around, and spilled over my bra.

Then my low back started with two stacked rows of fat buildup that showed up out of nowhere, and those seemed to extend into the spare tire that developed around my abdomen.

Sound familiar to anyone?

When I look at it now, it makes sense.

Poor breathing and posture from years of trying to keep my breasts looking small, compounded with rising cortisol from not understanding how to manage stress, caught up with me.

That posture and poor breathing compressed my organs and decreased lymphatic flow in my abdomen.

Impaired gut lymph flow and estrogen being reabsorbed in my gut and stored in the abdominal and low back regions due to perimenopause hormone ups and downs.

Poor circulation in my breast and rib cage area caused lymphatic congestion and estrogen to be stored in my upper back.

When you do not breathe deeply, your organs do not get adequate circulation, and subsequently, your lymph doesn’t drain well either.

Pair that with fascial tissue adhesions, and you have double trouble for being able to move blood, oxygen, nutrients, and hormones floating throughout the body.

And things can get even worse if your bowels aren’t moving well either!

Your body isn’t betraying you; its circulation is blocked!

Deanna Hansen shows some pretty impressive changes in body shape when her clients have done daily fascial releases and worked on their ability to take deep breaths and longer exhales.

She shows the exact rib cage fascial tissue release in our workshop from last Friday that her clients have used to lose weight, without changing anything else in their life!

Can you imagine if they were doing “all the things” to help with weight loss plus the fascial tissue release?

Now we may be onto something here!

Deanna assured me I’d see change in my body if I worked on it for 30 days, and even more if I went for 90 days straight, so you know what I’m up to now!

I took some photos, so stay tuned for the 30, 60, and 90-day progression.

If you’ve been hanging out with me for a while, you know I don’t like to recommend things until I’ve tried them out for myself.

I have been using Deanna’s Block Therapy for my low back and hip pain for over 6 months now and have seen a ton of progress there, so I can’t wait to see what happens with the fascial tissue of my upper and lower back.

I’m by no means an expert in Block Therapy, so if you’re curious about what it’s all about, check out my workshop with Deanna on Youtube, HERE, and our previous podcast episode 599.

If you’d like to try out more muscle-melting relief techniques from Deanna Hansen, she’s given us some links for free trials:

Releasing tension in the body and learning to take deeper breaths goes far beyond changing your posture and your fat deposits. I truly believe it’s life-extending, as when you improve your circulation, you’re opening up your body’s intelligent pathways to detox and nourish your body on a deeper level.
