Which do you address first your brain or your fatigue?
Lately, a lot of folks have been telling me they can’t think straight and that fixing brain fog feels more urgent than fixing fatigue.
Here’s the thing: brain fog and fatigue are connected.
The connector is inflammation.
So how does someone actually become inflamed?
It starts with thoughts, which drive behaviors, which then become habits.
I’ve talked before about tirzepatide and the GLP-1 effect on de-inflaming the brain, but I haven’t talked about another way to support brain inflammation until now.
This combo includes CoEnzyme Q10 and the peptides KPV and P21.
I love CoQ10. It’s probably one of my favorite supplements for folks over 40 because it supports circulation, muscle function, and energy production in the mitochondria.
And brain fog?
That’s a tired brain.
An extension of overall fatigue.
So how do you clear the fog?
You reduce toxins and inflammation by improving circulation to the brain and supporting mitochondrial function the “factories” inside nearly every cell in your body (red blood cells excluded).
KPV is a peptide made from three amino acids—proline, valine, and lysine—that are key for tissue and muscle repair.
P21 is a peptide that supports brain mitochondrial function and helps enhance mental clarity.
I’ve been playing with this trio lately, and I’m really loving it.
Dr. Heidi and Dr. Serena from yesterday’s podcast episode would add Urolithin A to this protocol to see how things evolve. I’m game to try that too and will keep you posted. (Click HERE to listen to our podcast episode 597).
If you’re already eating well, working out, and intentionally creating a lifestyle that minimizes fight-or-flight, this combo may be worth exploring.
The best part? Peptides can be cycled—20 days on, 2 weeks off to taken quarterly.
CoQ10 is a daily, so it’s not about taking everything forever.
I’m planning to run this combo quarterly and can’t wait to see how it plays out.
If you’re interested, KPV and P21 can be found on Peptide Sciences and Limitless Biotech’s websites.
