My recent podcast guest, Tim James, encourages everyone he comes into contact with to avoid grocery stores if they want to live long, healthy lives.

That’s bold, yet he has a point.

A friend who was a produce manager at a high-end small grocery store chain in the Tacoma-Seattle area horrified me with the ingredients of the cute thundershower water that’s sprayed on ALL the produce in the store.

Which leads me to: Is organic really organic once it hits the grocery store produce section?

And have you ever noticed all grocery stores have a particular chemical smell to them?

Even my cute natural food store in Antigo, Wisconsin, has that smell.

I have so many questions about that smell that I don’t want to know the answers to.

My husband says it best: “I don’t want to shop with you because I know everything I want to eat will kill me, and I’d rather not tempt myself.”

Which brings me to what I’ve been exploring lately to make up for what I would get at a grocery store.

Azure Standard. It’s a grocery delivery service dedicated to organic and non-GMO bulk foods.

You find a drop spot near you and meet the truck right there to grab your food.

It’s a great option for the winter when the farmers’ markets are closed and you’re sick of your frozen and canned foods, totally speaking from experience!

While avoiding grocery stores was one suggestion Tim James from Chemical Free Body mentioned, the other thing he talked about was assessing every aspect of your life when it comes to living chemical-free.

One of those areas that is overlooked with age?

The need for antioxidants to support your mitochondria, the factories that make energy in almost every one of your cells.

I can’t tell you how many times I do organic acids testing on patients and their antioxidants are low.

Most of us don’t eat enough fruits or vegetables to get the antioxidants that we need, and most of us have such weak digestive systems that we may not even be able to absorb all the goodness.

Lucky for us, Tim James has been working hard on a green juice to solve this issue.

I’ve known Tim for about 5 years, and in that time, I’ve tried a few versions of his green juice.

I’ll be honest, his first one was super gross, but this latest apple-flavored green juice is actually good and doesn’t have stevia in it.

Which blew my mind when he talked about the connection between stevia and infertility—not something I was aware of!!

I get horrible gas from stevia, so I opt for monk fruit if I have to do an alternative sweetener.

I’m mentioning this because I find so many women are loading up on stevia, and this ends up being the source of their bloat and gas.

Tim is a wealth of knowledge, and he’s eager to help as many people as possible live healthier lives.

If you purchase products from his Chemical Free Body line, he offers weekly live group coaching where he answers questions from the audience.

I sat in on the call last week and learned a ton just from other folks asking questions!

Episode 627 is a great one that I’m certain you’ll learn something from—don’t miss it and check it out HERE.

Here’s to living chemical-free,
