I work in health and fitness… and I’m a little fluffy. At a recent conference, I had a deep conversation with some colleagues and found out – I’m not the only one. Even folks who study nutrition for a living struggle with their body composition. Why? Because you can eat well, do all the right things, and still have behavior glitches that show up in your body. I call them “snaccidents.” And they always leave clues. Patterns. Timing. Triggers. All trackable. All tweakable. Me? I’ve got a nut problem. (Almonds, pistachios, macadamias… I don’t discriminate.) Also—sourdough, butter, and cheese. Oh, and tortilla chips when my tech breaks and I haven’t slept. Every binge has a backstory. Overwhelm. Fatigue. Frustration. And even though I “know better,” I still get hijacked—like an alien takes over my body—and I come to, wrist-deep in a bag of chips. Sound familiar? After years of tracking macros and working with nutrition experts, here’s what I’ve learned: It’s not the food. It’s not willpower. It’s how you cope with stress—and what you believe about your body when it comes to your weight. That’s why I had to bring Adi Wyshogrod, RDN and cofounder of Everlong, on the podcast this week. Her company is flipping nutrition care on its head—focusing on behavior first, not just food. Here’s what we covered: 🍽 Why nutrition isn’t just what you eat—it’s how you live 🧠 How behavior science + clinical nutrition = lasting change 💻 How Everlong’s telehealth model (covered by insurance for 95% of people)is making support truly accessible 🤝 Why success starts with care that meets you where you’re really at If you’ve ever felt stuck in guilt cycles, confused by food rules, or just plain tired of white-knuckling your macros—this is your episode. 🎧 Listen now → click the orange button belowOr…Check out Everlong → click HERE Know someone struggling with food despite “doing it right”?
