Hi ,
John Lennon wrote his most famous song, Imagine, in 528 Hertz (hz).
Bob Marley wrote many of his songs including his iconic, “One Love”, in this same hertz.
Depending on what era you grew up in you may be thinking – well – that’s hippy or stoner music.
Sadly the work of these musicians work has been overshadowed by these stigmas.
When you dive into research you’ll find these two knew this tune tapped into healing vibrations that date back to the days of Gregorian chants.
The 528 hz frequency is a Solfeggio frequency connected with the 3rd chakra – the solar plexus chakra – in Ayurvedic medicine.
Solfeggio frequencies make up the 6 ancient tone scale thought to have been used in spiritual music.
These tones include:
- 396 hz – thought to be the favorite of Tesla, corresponds to the 1st (root) chakra and associated with freeing yourself from harmful feelings of guilt and fear so you can achieve your goals.
- 417 hz – associated with the 2nd (sacral) chakra (thought to help you clear influences of past traumas and produce positive energy to bring about change in your live.
- 528 hz – connected to the 3rd (solar plexus) chakra and love as well as bringing forth transformation in your life this tone activates intuition, imagination and intention.
- 639 hz – believed to be connected with the 4th (heart) chakra in helping one to create better relationships with others, and their environment
- 741 hz – associated with the 5th (throat) chakra and improving the power of self expression
- 852 hz – linked to the 6th (3rd eye) chakra to awaken you to illusions around you and in your life

I bet you have certain songs that evoke an emotion when you hear them.
This is what I’m talking about!
What you listen to can help you mentally and physically.
A quick youtube search of the tones above and you’ll find plenty of options to listen to.
Right now I’m geeking out on the Lovetuner Intunity on Youtube since being introduced to Sigmar Berg’s Lovetuner device. Learn more by listening to my podcast with Sigmar (HERE).
He created a tool that looks like a small whistle that you can wear around your neck or have in your pocket to blow into to hear the tone of 528 hz anytime you need a little chill in your life.
While it may seem a little odd at first to have a breath tool to help you find chill – trust me it’s worth a try – you may find how just a simple tone can have a profound effect on you.
It’s helping me to take longer exhales as I now have an audible measure of the strength and length of my exhale.
Sigmar notes the Lovetuner is meant to help you get into a chill state quickly and I love it because it doesn’t require technology just breath.
I can feel my shoulders drop and my nervous system chill as I use it, so I’ve been wearing it quite a bit.
Clearly my nervous system wants it near.
Even my golden retriever will come over and sit next to me when I use it.
If something can calm his nervous energy – it has to be good.
So if you’re looking for something to help you find calm quickly and enhance your breath work practice the Lovetuner is worth a look. (Check it out HERE).
If you’re wanting to learn more about how music and certain frequencies impact the body – check out episode 528 of The Health Fix Podcast to learn more (HERE).
Stay tuned for tomorrow where I dive into slowing aging with music.
Here’s to bringing back the oldies,
