There’s a trend in my practice lately that involves acupuncture.
It seems those who are receiving acupuncture are doing better with their overall health, pain levels, sleep, digestion and mood.
Which makes sense because acupuncture has the greatest effect on the nervous system, which directly affects your digestion, cognition, moodand potentially many other things because of its impact on the autonomic nervous system.
Most people think of acupuncture for pain because that’s what it’s most marketed for when in reality it’s my favorite harmonizer of all the things I do.
I often talk about peptides and hormones being “icing and sprinkles on the cake”, well acupuncture is like the oven.
It circulates the nutrients and wakes up the receptors of the body to do their jobs.
You’re an electrical being who’s plugged in to your laptop, phone or TV most of the day while bathing in a sea of 5G EMFs (electro-magnetic frequencies).
Add to your exposures the interactions with things (like two-factor authenticating all day) and people who drain your energy and it’s no wonder you feel like crap.
The “level 5 biohackers” are talking about med-beds and biochargers that you can go and recharge yourself along with taking care of whatever is ailing you.
I think that’s awesome but what if you didn’t have to get that fancy to get benefits?
Could an acupuncture session 1-2 times a month with some time barefoot in nature or your yard recharge you?
I believe it’s possible.
Last week I saw Marcy, a patient of mine in Wisconsin who’s in her 70’s and deals with chronic hip and knee pain.
She has bunions on both feet that have her big toes going at 45 degree angles over her 2nd toes.
From the looks of the feet, I’m not sure how she walks.
Each time I’ve seen her for the last 1.5 years I get an update as to how she’s doing, but last week she said something that reminded me of the benefits of acupuncture.
She said “I know I’ll always have some pain that’s part of aging but acupuncture makes me feel better all over, from my brain to my gut and toes.”
Even I can get hung up on focusing on acupuncture for pain, forgetting its other benefits!
Your body has 12 main acupuncture channels that correspond to organs and systems in the body.
Those channels are interconnected, so much so that one acupuncture point has multiple benefits for the body.
Modern society has made it time and cost prohibitive to get acupuncture on a daily basis, but what if you could keep the benefits of the session going a bit longer?
What if the intricate symphony of your body was intelligently designed to have these points and channels to tap into, so you could be the conductor of your body’s symphony just as much as the acupuncture?
And what if you didn’t need the needles at all?
Acupressure, tuning forks, targeted red light therapy, crystals, essential oils, sound therapy and even tapping are just a few of the things I’m having people test out between sessions to keep the body charged up and circulation flowing.
(Check out a guide I made for Essential Oils for Women).
Tomorrow I’ll tell you about tuning fork sessions and the results I’m seeing in my Wisconsin office!
Here’s to being the conductor of your own symphony,
Dr. J
