Last Saturday night, something special happened. A couple I’ve worked with for years made a pit stop at my home in Wisconsin on their way from Michigan to Washington. I got to cook them dinner, take them on a country drive filled with rain, deer, turkeys, and cows — and yes, they got acupuncture too! It was a reminder of something I’ve always believed: I don’t just want clients — I want a health community that feels like family. A little fun fact about me — I always carry needles. If you’re around and need a quick session, I’ve got you. And if you come to my home, there’s no way I’m letting you leave without a little pampering. My dogs are in on it too — Bryguy, my current golden, gets just as excited about visitors as I do. You might remember Bear, my first golden, who used to wander the acupuncture rooms in Tacoma spreading love. Living in the country, most friends meet me in “big cities” like Green Bay or Wausau — so having someone come out here was a treat. It got me thinking back to my roots:Years ago, I ran cooking and fitness classes for moms and kids through a non-profit. I even hosted a local show called “Qué Cocinas?” on Summit County TV. I loved it. Not because of the spotlight — but because I got to connect. To really guide people through health transformations — like 100+ pound weight loss journeys, stroke recovery, or even the little boy who became a chef and now works at Keystone Conference Center in Colorado. Back then, I hosted group acupuncture in people’s homes. That’s the kind of community care I’ve missed. And now, after 12+ years of seeing clients in Tacoma, I’m finally making space for it again. Starting July 8th, I’m officially stepping away from insurance and creating the care experience I’ve always dreamed of — one where we assess, test (not guess), and work together like family. I want to help people over 40 live longer, feel better, and focus only on what truly matters for their unique health. So if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by all the health “shoulds” out there — I hear you. If you’ve ever wished your doctor felt more like a trusted guide — I’m here. And if you ever find yourself anywhere in Wisconsin — seriously, let me know. I’d love to meet you in person. Here’s to creating vibrant, healthy communities — one genuine connection at a time.
