I have a quick trick to calm your nervous system in 5 minutes.
It’s called positional parasympathetic breathing.
I use it after workouts to relax.
Here’s what you do…
You lay down and put your legs up on a couch or chair.
Take 5 count inhales through your nose and 7-10 count exhales through your nose.
Do this for 5 minutes.
Then at the end of 5 minutes take 3 really big lion-like yawns.
And get on with your day feeling chill!
You can do this anytime you want and as many times as you like.
The yawns are also a good way to get the body to chill if you can’t lie down in the moment.
Try it out.
I even created a quick video if you’d like to see me in action – click HERE. (I left out the yawns but I figure you got that covered).
Hit reply and let me know what you think!
